For months now, I’ve been planning a week’s worth of Hank Williams songs (or songs about Hank Williams), and I’m still working on it.

Here, however, is a bizarre video of Hank Jr. with a child prodigy moppet who was about four, and already knew how to hold his own amid Hank’s rowdy friends — several thousand of ’em. We all have Karen Mills England to thank (or blame!) for this one…

You’ll be glad to know the kid’s all growed up now (that was shot in 1995), and toured with Taylor Swift last summer; he released his first album on Atlantic late last year. And, sounding very Hank-like in a “new country” way, here he is plugging his first single at the Grand Ole Opry.

You hope he makes it through the show biz jungle!
